Profiles: Montreal Diller Teens
Carly Berlin – Montreal Coordinator
A recent McGill History graduate, Carly has been working in various areas of education ranging from Jewish Camping to formal school settings. In addition to her role as Coordinator for the Montreal Diller Teen Fellows, Carly has worked as the Program Coordinator for Congregation Dorshei Emet (the Reconstructionist Synagogue of Montreal). She is currently working as a tutor in the Learning Centre at Centennial College and beginning a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. She has volunteered extensively for the Bronfman Israel Experience Centre and accompanied the 2009 Diller Teen Fellows on their Israel Summer Seminar as Madricha. She enjoys working with teens, and looks forward to guiding groups of Montreal Diller Teens towards the various areas of Jewish community leadership.
Stu Guttman– Montreal Coordinator
In addition to his responsibilities as one of the Montreal Diller Coordinators, Stu is also the Assistant Director for the Harry Bronfman Y Country Camp and the Programs and Events coordinator for Federation CJA West Island. A community leader in his own right, he has been the Family Education Director at Congregation Beth Tikvah ASNH, a leader for several Birthright trips and Madrich for the March of the Living. A Psychology graduate of Concordia University Stu is currently completing his Masters Degree in Professional Jewish Studies through Spertus College. Stu is constantly working closely with our Diller team and shares his experience, programming excellence and unique ability to always be available or lend a hand.
Nat Benaroche – Montreal Madricha 2010
Having just returned to Montreal from the Amirim stage program in Jerusalem, Nat is currently majoring in Judaic Studies at Concordia University. A graduate of Trafalgar School for Girls, Nat took it upon herself to learn Herbrew in order to "connect with my heritage on a whole other level." Her love and passion for Israel, combined with her camping and child care experience makes her an ideal candidate to help lead the Diller Team.
Brahm Levine – Montreal Madrich 2009
Brahm is a past Vice President of Hillel Montreal. A graduate of John Abbott College, Brahm spent 5-months living on a Kibbutz in Israel with the Kibbutz Ulpan program studying Hebrew and volunteering around the country before starting his degree in Urban Planning at Concordia University. He has been a supervisor at the Y Country Camp and this past summer, he was a participant on an exchange program which brought him to study in Beijing. Brahm’s experience, personality and sense of humor make him an amazing role model for our teens and a tremendous asset to the Diller Team. We look forward to his continued involvement in the Diller Teen Fellows program.
